Pumpkins, Boho Chic, Zac the Dalmatian, an alternative 'Christmas' and of course a continuing global pandemic pretty much sums up the last three months of 2020 for me.
Where better to shoot a magical Halloween fashion shoot than in a pumpkin field! We had some great weather here in October, though a bit chilly, and some wonderful light and skies. I was lucky to have such a day to shoot for Stephanie Pantera at 'Forgotten Bohemian'. Gorgeous Boho Chic, styled by Stephanie and modelled by Kirsty, Charlie Jay, Antonia and Teegan. Check it out on social media @forgottenbohemian. Website coming soon!
Zac the Dalmatian is not only very friendly but is a star at posing for my camera. He lives next door to a friend of mine and if your'e ever out in the garden he wants to know why and he also likes to say hello. Though I don't advertise so much these days, I also shoot pet portraits, and as a big animal lover, I adore meeting furry friends large and small. Having four dogs myself I am not a stranger to wet noses, fluff and paw prints.
Back to Forgotten Bohemian, and a wonderfully seasonal photoshoot in December. I am so grateful to be part of such a beautifully creative and stylish project in creating some promotional shots for web and social media. I was so happy to meet the girls again along with some new faces too. The richness of the colours, eclectic textures, the fluid fabrics and free spirited feminine vibe of these fabulous clothes was heavenly. I can't help but think I need a new wardrobe ; )
Covid-19 prompted a change to my Christmas plans this year. Staying at home with husband, a Golden Retriever, a hairy Jack Russell crossbreed, a tiny Yorkie crossbreed, a kleptomaniac Dachshund and a meal of vegetarian sausage hotpot, not forgetting the red wine, was actually a wonderful alternative. Christmas? Bah humbug! We had a merry day, and I hope you did too.
