On my first trip to the supermarket after lockdown, I grabbed this shot of the queue of waiting shoppers - all social distancing and standing in the hot sun waiting for their turn to enter and buy food and loo roll again. I found the whole experience incredibly surreal and strange. But what a striking image. So I entered this grab shot into the Royal Photographic Society Documentary Competition (bi-monthly challenge to all Documentary Group members), and I was thrilled to be one of the winners.
